This training is limited to 40-participants.

W. C. (Dub) Wright, MA, Counseling Psychology. Dub is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a LPC Texas Supervisor and a pre-approved Texas CEU Provide. He has been teaching Motivational Interviewing since 1993 when he became an advocate of MI. He was a believer in the positive strength-focused, emperically based, respectful concepts of MI and integrated the training as a key component of his training Chemical Dependency Counselors. He attended MI Trainer or Trainer classed taught by the MI founders, William (Bill) Miller and Stephen Rollinick. He has recently be a co-trainer with Bill Miller and Theresa Moyers (designer of the MITI Coding system). Dub has maintained close involvement with MI and made professional presentations to MINT members at the International MI conference in Amsterdam. He is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of International Trainers.

Prior to his career as a professor at a major college in Houston, Texas, he was a Adult Parole Officer for the State of Texas where he served as the first parole officer with a substance abuse caseload. He also served as a parole officer for Texas in the state prison system. Criminal Justice

Dub Wright is also the Chairman of the Greater Houston Red Cross Mental Health Disaster team. He has worked many national disaster involving floods, fires, tornadoes, hurricanes. He was the lead counselor for the Columbia space shuttle disaster and also recently for the Continental Airlines Denver incident.

He served for two terms as a Trustee of his local school district of 41,000 students and also is currently President of his Civic Association.

As a trainer, he has provided training in Motivational Interviewing for:
Correctional Departments
Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselors
Social Workers and Substance Abuse Counselors
Health Services professionals including nurses, physicians and dieticians
Professional Educators

His wide range of experience has served him well as a trainer and teacher.

Cancellation Policy:
If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas no later than ten (10) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted. If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant/agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
