This course is a brief look into officer wellness. Many Officers start a career in detention without ever being taught how to handle the extreme side effects of the job. Detention Staff have the highest PTSD rates of any profession in the nation. We have a duty to ensure the health and wellness by identifying and addressing the individual stressors associated with this profession. This class will teach management of these stressors. These topics will assist officers in having longer and more productive career as well as promoting healthy living and life balance.
