PROGRAM INFORMATION:
This is a 4-hour course designed for law enforcement and corrections professionals, focusing on the often-underestimated risks of caffeine consumption in their high-stakes field. The program explores the physiological and psychological impacts of caffeine, addressing stress responses, decision-making, and overall well-being. The course provides practical strategies for effective caffeine management, utilizing interactive sessions and real-world case studies to help participants balance alertness without succumbing to excessive caffeine use. Topics covered include the physiological effects of caffeine, its correlation with stress, sleep disruption, and legal and ethical considerations. Ultimately, "Code Brew" aims to empower law enforcement professionals with knowledge and tools to make informed choices, promoting a culture of wellness in their line of work. Participants are expected to gain resilience and a comprehensive understanding of caffeine-related risks, ensuring they remain alert while safeguarding their health and upholding professional conduct.

CMIT will cover cost of training material and snack breaks. Agencies are responsible for travel expenses.

Cancellation Policy:
If paid, full refunds will be given to those who cancel in writing more than ten (10) working days prior to the training. A refund of 70% of the fees paid will be authorized when a written request for cancellation and refund of conference or program fees is submitted less than ten (10) working days prior to the scheduled start of the program. If unpaid, those who cancel in writing more than ten (10) working days prior to the training will have all fees waived. When a written request for cancellation is submitted less than ten (10) working days prior to the scheduled start of the program, the participant will be responsible for 30% of the conference rate at the time they registered. The Correctional Management Institute of Texas reserves the right to retain or collect fees in full for those who fail to cancel in writing prior to the training or for those who fail to attend. Substitutions are permitted at anytime.
