Strategies for Success is a special program in a great setting featuring Jim Dodson and Ruby Lehrmann. A criminal justice professional for nearly 30 years and a top-rated instructor, Jim brings a broad range of experience from the field and conveys it with humor and feeling. He rose through the ranks of the Odessa, Texas, Police Department to Police Commander, a position he held for 14 years. As a state-certified instructor for over 22 years, Jim specialized in several areas of law enforcement including supervision and leadership. From 1969 thru 1975, Ruby held various positions with the Texas Department of Corrections, the last as Assistant Warden of the Goree Unit in Huntsville. Ruby was hired in 1975 as the first female U.S. Probation Officer in the Western District of Texas and promoted to Deputy Chief in 1983. In 1995, she was the first female to become Chief U.S. Probation Officer in the Fifth Circuit.
